She received specialized instruction and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hartford Connecticut. Kate continues to thrive, learn, enjoy and find inspiration through her art.
Her talents have been expressed in paintings for individuals, corporations, private homes and with interior designers.
She has been commissioned to decorate many homes and businesses with custom murals, faux finishes, theme rooms, canvas work and trompe l’oeil – which is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery – creating the optical illusion that depicted objects appear in three dimensions.
She has created the illusion of texture, stone, brick, antique, aged plaster, marble, wood grain and more. Her imagined walkways, landscapes and the architectural deception within her murals are often complimented with custom painted furniture and accessories. Setting the most unique and breathtaking scenes.
It typically begins with a client idea, fabric, photograph or other reference – which Kate then successfully brings beautifully to life!
This fine artist will use your theme to create custom designs, portrait images, landscapes, tropics, jungles or whatever your own imagination desires!
